VARIATIONS CHOIR COMING SOON! (4)

VARIATIONS CHOIR SIGN UP NOW!

American Artists Project is pleased to announce our newest program: Variations Choir! This particular choir is for individuals ages 12-17 on the Autism Spectrum. The Variations Choir is an opportunity for your child/teen to engage with others while learning about music, singing, and being part of a choir.  It will be a safe space for participants to practice social skills, sing with a group, and enjoy the gifts that each participant has to share.  No previous experience is necessary. Director Maureen Broy Papovich, along with volunteers, will lead twice monthly rehearsals on Saturday mornings starting January 2025 and culminating with a September 2025 performance.

Location: Bethany United Methodist Church, 10010 Anderson Mill Rd. Austin, TX 78750

Our goal is to gain awareness of any specific needs in order to implement a seamless and joyful experience for all.

Variations hosted it's inaugural weekend December 2023 starting with a Professional Development Day for Adapted Programming where teachers came to learn to teach with the confidence that any student can receive accommodations, benefit from social-emotional learning, and that every student is limitless in what they can accomplish! The weekend culminated in a concert with Grammy winning Soprano Stefanie Moore, accompanied by Dale Dietert, and 17 year old rising sensation pianist Grace Novacheck. Thank you to everyone who came to listen, to learn and to show their support for this extraordinary arts community!
